    When a color monitor is connected to the on-board video circuitry of some early Macintosh Quadra 950 systems, AND the Monitors control panel is set to millions of colors, certain color manipulation commands may not work in some graphics application programs. The problem isn't destructive. The system won't crash, and data won't be corrupted.

    To correct the problem, upgrade to system software version 7.1 or later. Or install the system extension called 950 Color Addition, as described below.

    What Is the 950 Color Addition Extension?

    950 Color Addition is a system software extension that fixes a minor problem on Macintosh Quadra 950 computers. This extension has no function on other Macintosh models.

    How To Install It
    -----------------
    1) Insert the "Macintosh Quadra Extra" floppy disk in the floppy disk
    drive.

    2) Drag the 950 Color Addition icon into the System Folder on your startup
    disk.

    3) When a message asks you if you want the 950 Color Addition to be stored
    in the Extensions folder, click OK.

    Note: If the 950 Color Addition is already installed in your Extensions
    folder, you don't need to reinstall it. When you are asked whether you
    want to replace the 950 Color Addition, click Cancel.

    4) Restart your Macintosh Quadra 950.

    If you Reinstall System Software
