DISCUSSION Because of the high-energy capacity of the Macintosh PowerBook Rechargeable Battery pack, accidental shorting of the brass contacts at the corner of the battery pack can quickly generate enough power to cause burns or start a fire. When the battery pack isn't either in the computer or in the recharger, the pack should be kept in an insulating carrying case. If your battery pack didn't come with an insulating carrying case, call 800-377-4127 or visit your Apple dealer to obtain a free carrying case (part number 076-0590). Support Information Services |
