TOPIC
I can't make an NEC CDR-35 CD Player work with a PowerBook, although it works fine with a Macintosh LC.
DISCUSSION Neither NEC nor Apple has tested the CDR-35 with any PowerBook computer. NEC recommends the CDR-36 or later for use with the PowerBook family. NEC Technical Support has had reports that when the Apple SCSI cable and the NEC CD-ROM drivers version 2.21 are used, the CDR-35 did work with a PowerBook. It seemed that the NEC SCSI cable didn't work. Because Apple and NEC haven't tested the CDR-35 and PowerBook computers, this isn't a supported solution. |
