    Does Apple have any recommended cleaning procedures for its equipment?

DISCUSSION

    The user guide or owner manual, shipped with each product, contains basic care and cleaning instructions for the user. You can find the specific page numbers for this information in the index under "care" and/or "cleaning".

    Some cleaning procedures must be performed by authorized service providers. If you cannot find cleaning instructions for your particular needs in the manual, contact your authorized Apple dealer or service provider.

    There is a separate Tech Info Library article on cleaning Apple floppy-disk drives, in which Apple recommends using 3M cleaning kits.
