    Files downloaded using Microsoft Internet Explorer may not appear immediately in the Finder.

DISCUSSION

    Symptom

    Internet Explorer's Download Manager indicates that a file has been successfully downloaded, but it does not appear in the Mac OS X Public Beta Finder.

    Solution

    In Internet Explorer:
      1. Choose Download Manager from the Tools menu.
      2. Double-click the item you wish to see.
      3. In the window that appears, click Reveal in Finder. A Finder window opens containing the item you downloaded.

    Apple and Microsoft are working to address this problem in future versions of Mac OS X and Internet Explorer.
