    The Classic environment may stop responding when you shut it down in conjunction with certain settings in Dantz Retrospect backup software.


DISCUSSION

    Symptom

    When attempting to shut down the Classic environment, or log out of a Mac OS X Public Beta session while the Classic application is open, the system may stop responding (a "hang" or "freeze").

    Solution
      1. Open the Retrospect control panel. (You may need to open an application within Classic to make the Apple Menu available.)
      2. Click the checkbox labeled "Wait at Shutdown" to deselect it.
