    Symptom

    Applications designed for video capture cannot do so in the Classic environment of Mac OS X Public Beta. The message generated when attempting to connect to a camera may vary by application. iMovie, for example, opens without error but displays the message "Camera Disconnected."

    Solution

    Applications designed for video capture require a level of hardware access that is not available in the Classic environment of Mac OS X Public Beta.

    To capture video, restart your computer using Mac OS 9.
