    Mac OS X does not recognize an AirPort card when started up from a disk formatted as UNIX File System (UFS).

DISCUSSION

    Symptom

    Your AirPort card is not recognized.

    Products affected

    • Mac OS X 10.0 and later
    • AirPort Cards

    Solution

    Install Mac OS X 10.0 on a disk or partition that is formatted using the Mac OS Extended (HFS Plus) format.

    Note : Wireless internet access requires AirPort Card, AirPort Base Station, and Internet Access (fees may apply). Some ISPs are not currently compatible with AirPort, including America Online. Range may vary with site conditions.
