TOPIC

This article describes the features and benefits of the Macintosh IIvx.

DISCUSSION

The Macintosh IIvx is a mid-range Macintosh, similar to the Macintosh IIci
and IIsi while offering greater expansion flexibility and improved internal
video support. It is identical to the Performa 600, except it has a
    built-in 32MHz 68882 math coprocessor and 32K direct-mapped cache.

The Macintosh IIvx has a new sheet-metal enclosure, which allows for three
expansion slots, a built-in hard disk, floppy and an optional built-in
    AppleCD 300i drive.

The optional built-in AppleCD 300i is a double-speed drive (twice as fast
as most currently available CD-ROM drives) that supports multiple-session
    Kodak Photo CD technology.
