DISCUSSION
The StyleWriter II cleans and purges its ink cartridge by wiping the surface of the ink nozzles to remove paper fibers, capping the ink cartridge with a rubber cover, then pumping a small amount of fresh ink into the cartridge's ink nozzles. The entire process takes approximately 13 seconds. Automatic Operation Automatic cleaning and purging occurs when: Manual Operation To clean and purge the ink cartridge at any time: 1. Select Options in the Print dialog box. 2. Select the box labeled "Clean ink cartridge before printing". Cleaning and purging does consume a small amount of ink (about 0.1 cc). If you repeat the process unnecessarily, you will reduce the life of the cartridge. |
