When using the Battery Desk Accessory (DA), on a Macintosh PowerBook computer, I have noticed that when I connect or disconnect the AC Adapter, the battery level indicators fluctuate slightly.

The charge indicated on the Battery DA fluctuates slightly when AC power is applied or removed. This is related to the load placed on the battery and is completely normal.

When AC power is avalialbe, the load of the charging battery and the PowerBook itslef is transferred to the power adapter, thus the Battery DA indicates a slightly higher battery level.

Once the AC adapter is removed and the full load of the PowerBook is transferred to the battery, the level drops slightly to indicate this increased load.
