    This article describes the Apple PowerCD player.


DISCUSSION



    PowerCD is a portable CD-ROM drive, Photo CD player, and audio CD player all in one.



    Connected to Macintosh computer, PowerCD is a low-cost portable CD-ROM drive for use with existing computer multimedia titles, business presentations, interactive learning, or games.



    As a PhotoCD player, PowerCD allows you to access, manipulate and display high- quality photographic images on a television or computer monitor. With PowerCD, you can view and manipulate photographs (for example, zoom in, rotate, or crop them), then integrate audio with the photographs for presentations.



    PowerCD can also be used as a standalone audio CD player. Users can listen to standard audio CDs either through headphones, through a television, or by attaching PowerCD to external stereo speakers.



    PowerCD is battery operated and includes a standard AC power adapter and remote control.



    The PowerCD supports the following CD-ROM formats:

    Macintosh HFS

    ISO-9660/High Sierra

    Standard CD-DA Audio

    CD-ROM XA, Multisession Kodak Photo CD
