mportant Information About the AppleWorks 6.2 Update
Thank you for investing in Apple software. Apple periodically releases new versions of software to add features, correct performance issues, or respond to customer requests.
This update replaces any North American English version of AppleWorks for Macintosh between 6.0 and 6.1.2 with the North American English version of AppleWorks 6.2 for Mac OS X and AppleWorks 6.1.2 for Mac OS 8.1 through 9.x. (AppleWorks 6.2 for Mac OS X and AppleWorks 6.1.2 for Mac OS 8.1 through 9.x have a common feature set but are optimized for the appropriate operating system.)

To use the AppleWorks 6.2 Update, you must have
· Mac OS 8.1 or later
· a Macintosh computer capable of running AppleWorks 6.0
· any North American English version of AppleWorks for Macintosh between 6.0 and 6.1.2
You cannot update AppleWorks 5.0.4 or earlier (or any version of ClarisWorks) to AppleWorks 6.2.
To update to AppleWorks 6.2:
1. If you're using Mac OS 8.1-9.x, start up your computer with extensions turned off by holding down the Shift key while you start up or restart. (Release the Shift key when you see the "Welcome to Mac OS" message.) If you're using Mac OS X, skip this step.
2. Double-click the AppleWorks 6.2 Update icon and follow the onscreen instructions.
Important Information About the International English version of AppleWorks 6.2 Update

Update system requirements

You cannot update AppleWorks 5.0.4 or earlier (or any version of ClarisWorks) to AppleWorks 6.2.
