DISCUSSION The impedance for the sound out ports of the AppleCD 300 is about 47k Ohms (High Z) . This means that the audio cable connections should be kept as short as possible to avoid high frequency losses in the audio signal. By industry convention, Low Z (Low Impedance) consists of any impedance below 600 Ohms. High Z (High Impedance) would be in the range of 10k Ohms and above.
