    What is the impedance of the audio out jacks on the AppleCD 300?

DISCUSSION


    The impedance for the sound out ports of the AppleCD 300 is about
    47k Ohms (High Z) . This means that the audio cable connections
    should be kept as short as possible to avoid high frequency losses in
    the audio signal.

    By industry convention, Low Z (Low Impedance) consists of any
    impedance below 600 Ohms. High Z (High Impedance) would be in the
    range of 10k Ohms and above.
