My newspaper's mainframe requires the use of an ASCII character I've been
unable to generate on the keyboard of my new Performa 405. Is there a way to
generate ASCII character 152 from a Macintosh keyboard?

DISCUSSION

Any ASCII character number over 128 changes depending on the type of computer
you are using. On the Macintosh, character 152 is the ograve. To create the
ograve, you need to hold down the option key and press the ` key at the same
time, release those keys, then press the letter o. This creates the ograve
character, a letter o with an accent (`) on top.

Use the Key Caps desk accessory to preview various key combinations in various
    fonts.
