DISCUSSION Microprocessor -------------- * 68LC040, 32-bit architecture, 25 mHz clock frequency Can be upgraded to full 68040, which includes FPU. (Such an upgrade would not come from Apple. Apple has no plans to market an FPU upgrade, nor does Apple officially support this configuration). * CMOS custom clock/calendar with long-life lithium battery Memory ------ * 4MB RAM, expandable to 36MB via 72-pin socket. Upgrade with 1MB, 4MB, 16MB single-sided SIMMs; or 2MB, 4MB, or 32MB double-sided SIMMs. Possible configurations are 4MB, 5MB, 6MB, 8MB, 12MB, 20MB, and 36MB.
