DISCUSSION Now your Macintosh computer can bring you into the world of CD-ROMbased multimedia with the double-speed AppleCD 300e Plus CD-ROM player. It's easy to connect and as simple to use as an audio CD player. It can play audio CDs, but unlike a simple audio CD player, it also gives you access to the thousands of soft-ware programs, databases, educational and reference materials, QuickTime movies, clip art collections, and games now available on CD-ROM discs. The AppleCD 300e Plus spins at double speedthe speed for which most CD-ROM titles are designedand allows smoother playback of your QuickTime movies, video clips, and animated sequences. The AppleCD 300e Plus also makes it possible to view photographs on your Macintoshand use them in your documents. This player is compatible with multisession Kodak Photo CD discs. To make your own Photo CD, just take your original film, negatives, or slides to an authorized Kodak photo processor for conversion into high-quality images on a disc. Then insert your disc into the AppleCD 300e Plus to view the images on your Macintosh. New photos can also be added to your Photo CDs at a later date. You can connect the AppleCD 300e Plus to just about any Macintosh computer all by yourself. It attaches through the SCSI port on the back. No tools are required. And if you have a Macintosh computer with a half-height, 5.25-inch removable-drive bay, you can have your local authorized Apple service provider (or reseller) add an AppleCD 300i Plus internal player right inside it. Either way, your Macintosh will be equipped to bring you into the exciting, educational, and entertaining new world of CD-based multimedia.
