TOPIC
DISCUSSION The horizontal white lines are caused by an accumulation of lint on the left side of the wiper. If the wiper is cleaned so the lint is removed, the problem disappears. The lint absorbs the ink and causes the white lines. The printing nozzles should not come in contact with anything during printing. But when lint is present, it attaches to the nozzles damaging the nozzle. This damage can be temporary or permanent. This is why changing the ink cartridge doesn't fix the problem. Preventing White Lines Environmental conditions are the primary cause of the lint build-up. If paper is left in the paper tray for a period of time, then the top sheet should be removed prior to printing. The nozzle should also be checked periodically and any lint build-up removed. |
