    I would like to know if it is possible to let an UNIX workstation print on a
    StyleWriter II that is connected to a Macintosh with the serial port?

    I know that it is possible for a PostScript printer with LPRPrint software
    installed on the Macintosh to do this.

DISCUSSION


    You cannot print to the StyleWriter or StyleWriter II from a UNIX workstation. The StyleWriter II is a QuickDraw printer and Unix doesn't support QuickDraw. The application on the UNIX workstation would also needs to have the StyleWriter printer driver and since it doesn't support QuickDraw, this is impossible.
