DISCUSSION You should first check the volume levels in the Sound control panel. Open the Sound control panel and adjust the volume in both the Alert sounds and Volumes options. The internal speaker is located directly underneath the computer. Make sure that your computer is on a flat surface with no obstructions. Paper or other material directly under the computer can dampen the sound. Another way to get louder sound is to connect external speakers. Many monitors have speakers that can be connected to the audio-out port of your computer.
