After performing a clean system software installation, an Apple Network Administrator Toolkit (ANAT) installation, and then a Quarterdeck Mail installation, the Quarterdeck Mail will not load because of an unknown error.
DISCUSSION You are experiencing a issue between extensions. If you disable the Network Assistant Startup extension, the Quarterdeck Mail extension loads properly. Ordinarily the Quarterdeck extensions loads after ANAT. You need to rename either the Quarterdeck, or the Network Assistant Startup extension so the Quarterdeck extension load ahead of Network Assistant Startup alphabetically. To rename just as a "space" or and "x" to the front of the name. This will move the extension up or down in the loading order. Example: xAppleShare would move this extension down in the loading order. |
