DISCUSSION Certain PCI-Based Mac OS computers using Mac OS 7.6 are not compatible with MacsBug v6.5.3 or earlier. On these computers the display turns a solid shade of gray, or the text is yellow when you enter MacsBug. Note: MacsBug is a developer tool, and is not required to use Mac OS 7.6. MacsBug 6.5.4 ============= MacsBug v6.5.4 is not completed as of the writing of this article. If you are experiencing the problem described above with MacsBug, you can install an alpha version of this software, version 6.5.4a1. It is posted to Apple's Developer World ftp site in the following location: ftp://ftp.apple.com/devworld/Tool_Chest/Testing_-_Debugging/Debuggers_-_dcmds/MacsBug_6.5.4a1.sit.hqx If you are not experiencing problems with MacsBug and Mac OS 7.6, then you do not need to install MacsBug 6.5.4a1.
