This article describes how to determine the capacity of a hard drive using Mac OS 8.
DISCUSSION
There are two ways to identify the size of the hard drive With Mac OS 8. The first is to select (single-click) the hard drive icon and hold down the Command (Apple) key and the letter "I" (called a "Get Info" command). The Get Info window will show the hard drive's capacity, space avaliable, and space used. The second way is to open the Apple System Profiler, under the Apple Menu. With the profiler active, pull down the Select Menu, and choose "Volume Information" and you will see the size of the hard drive listed along with other information about the drive, such as any partitions you may have on the drive.
