    This article describes a print issue and workaround for AppleShare IP 5.0.2

DISCUSSION

    Symptom
    Under some circumstances, a print job appears to be processed by the print spooler and the printer shows that it is processing the print job, yet nothing is printed. These symptoms occur with the software and printers mentioned below.

    Products Affected
    Apple Software:
    AppleShare IP 5.0, AppleShare Client 3.7, LaserWriter 8.4.1 and, LaserWriter 8.4.3 drivers

    Printers:
    Xante 8200, Tektronix Phaser 300x, DataProducts Typhoon 20, LaserMasterUnity 1200 XL, NewGen ImagerPlus 6, Oce G5242-PS

    Solution
    A workaround is to upgrade to AppleShare IP 5.0.2, which may be downloaded from the Apple Software Updates Web site at http://www.apple.com/swupdates .
