TOPIC

This article provides a brief description of the Apple Headphone.

DISCUSSION

The Apple Headphone was originally made available as part of the Apple CD Multimedia Kit (discontinued), which included an external CD-ROM drive, AppleDesign speakers, and several multimedia CD titles. It has since been made available separately as M1867LL/A, Apple Headphone.

These headphones are lightweight, adjustable, Walkman-style headphones with simulated crinkled-leather ear cushions approximately 2.5 inches high and 2 inches wide. There are no user controls. The audio jack is a standard 1/8 inch stereo mini, compatible with audio devices providing such an interface, including all standard Macintosh audio output jacks, Apple CD-ROM drives, and most portable stereos.

The straight headphone cable is approximately 8.5 feet from jack to ear cushion. These headphones, comparable in sound quality and construction to most headphones of their type, may not be suitable for rough usage environments resulting in greater than normal strain on the headphone cable.
