What is QuickTime Lite? What is QuickTime Pro?
DISCUSSION There are two variations of QuickTime 3 - one is free, the other is purchased. The tools included in the free version of QuickTime 3 will provide a "play only" environment for QuickTime media in the form of MoviePlayer 3.0. If a third party application is in use, that application's functionality will not be limited to "play only" mode of MoviePlayer. A reminder that the free version is in use will be displayed from time to time. The tools included with QuickTime 3 Pro will provide a play and edit environment for QuickTime media in the form of MoviePlayer 3.0. The fuller set of MoviePlayer tools is unlocked via a "key code" which will be available for purchase via the web. |
