TOPIC When I start up my iMac computer from the Software Installation CD and attempt to install the FaxSTF software I get an error message that the disk is locked. DISCUSSION The disk is locked error message appears because you started your iMac using the System on the CD. While a majority of the FaxSTF files are installed to the folder you specify on the iMac's hard disk, some of the files must be installed into the active system folder. When you start up from the CD, the active system folder is on the CD. Since a CD is considered locked, the installation fails. To install the software, restart your iMac without the CD inserted in the CD-ROM Drive. Next, launch the FaxSTF installer. |
