I am an Apple customer living in Europe. I just updated my Apple Network Assistant International English software to version 3.5.2 and now my system crashes when I launch the application. Why does this occur?
DISCUSSION Apple customers who purchased Apple Network Assistant (ANA) 3.5 International English Z-version, separately or bundled with a Macintosh Server G3 may find that they cannot use the ANA 3.5.2 Updater to update all of their installed Apple Network Assistant 3.5 software components. The ANA 3.5.2 Updater installer will not recognize the Network Assistant 3.5 application file as the correct version to update. After the installation is completed, attempting to launch Apple Network Assistant may crash the system. Apple Computer is looking into this issue and expects to have a maintenance release available soon. European Network Assistant 3.5 customers may refer to this article for news on future updates. An international version of the Apple Network Assistant version 3.5.1 has been posted which will allow the 3.5.2 updater to run. You may download the Z version from the Apple Software Updates web site at http://www.apple.com/swupdates . Use "Network Assistant" as the search terms to obtain the updater. Note : Apple Network Assistant 3.5 French and German language versions are not affected by this problem.
