Issue If your computer was not shut down properly the next time the computer starts up Disk First Aid checks the system and hard drive. During the Startup Disk First Aid check, the following error can appeared: "Sorry, a system error occurred. International Utilities not present. To turn off extensions, restart and hold down the Shift key." When restarting with extensions disabled, the computer starts correctly and Disk First Aid can be run.
