    This article describes a particular issue with certain PAL cameras and device control when using Final Cut Pro.

DISCUSSION

    To control certain PAL video cameras (such as the Canon PAL MV-20), it is necessary to have the camera connected via FireWire before starting up or restarting your Power Macintosh G4.

    If the camera is connected after the computer has started up, it may not work properly for capturing and device control.
