TOPIC The Apple Protection Plan CD does not start up all Macintosh computers. This article tells how to update, and use the TechTools Deluxe software found on the Apple Protection Plan CD. DISCUSSION
The Apple Protection Plan CD contains its own System Folder, and a diagnostic program named TechTools Deluxe. The System Folder does not work with all Macintosh computers. To properly use TechTools Deluxe you must copy the TechTools Deluxe folder from the Protection Plan CD to your computer's hard disk. Make sure you have the most recent update of TechTool Deluxe. Be sure to start up your computer using the Mac OS CD that came with your computer, then open TechTools Deluxe from the hard disk.

Download and install the TechTool Deluxe update. Updating Versions of TechTool Deluxe Later Than 2.5.3 To update a version of TechTool Deluxe later than 2.5.3:

Your default web browser (selected in the Internet control panel) opens and connects to the TechTool Deluxe Update web page. 5. Register your TechTool Deluxe product using your AppleCare Enrollment number. 6. Download and install the TechTool Deluxe Update. Using TechTool Deluxe 2.5.4 (or Later) To properly use TechTool Deluxe 2.5.4 (or later):
