DISCUSSION

    Symptom
    The Newsletter and/or Templates icons in AppleWorks 6 Starting Points may appear with a generic white icon. Clicking the icon does not open any content. This symptom is a result of unusable cache files.

    Solution
    Take these steps to resolve the issue:

      1. Quit AppleWorks.
      2. Open the AppleWorks folder.
      3. Open the Starting Points folder.
      4. Open the Cache folder.
      5. The Cache folder contains several files. Drag all of them to the Trash.
      6. Open AppleWorks.

    AppleWorks creates a new copy of the Cache file, and the issue is solved.
