    Important Information about both utilities:
When faxing landscape-oriented jobs, "PostScript" must be checked in the fax printer driver options dialog or else the cover page will not come out correctly.

    Adobe Photoshop CoverPageExport Plug-in
The CoverPageExport plug-in will work with Adobe Photoshop versions 2.5, 2.5.1, and 3.0 for the Macintosh. The plug-in's output has been tested with the Apple LaserWriter driver version 8.2.3f, and Adobe Fax Printer driver version 8.2.1.
    • What the Plug-in Creates The plug-in will create a cover page for the fax driver that includes your black and white Adobe Photoshop image. The cover page uses a standard layout for information such as the recipient's and sender's phone and fax numbers, but it will also place the Photoshop image in the upper left corner of the page design. The cover page cannot be viewed by any application; it is a PostScript language file that can be used by Adobe's fax printer driver when sending faxes. Note: Your Photoshop image should have a maximum height of 194 points (approximately 2.6 inches), and a maximum width of 572 points (approximately 7.9 inches). An image larger than that size will be cropped on the bottom and/or right side(s). If your image is larger than this size, you should consider using Adobe Photoshop to either crop the image using the Crop option in the Edit menu, or scale the image to a smaller size via the Image Size dialog box under the Image menu.

For additional details on the Plug-In, please read the enclosed Adobe Technote, 5140.UsingCSPlugIn.pdf.

TIFF/PICT To Fax Cover Page Utility

The TIFF/PICT to Fax Cover Page program will work on a Macintosh computer, running System 7.0 or greater. The input for the program is any simple uncompressed 1-bit TIFF or PICT image file. The program's output has been tested with the Apple LaserWriter driver version 8.2.3f, and Adobe Fax Printer driver version 8.2.1.

The TIFF/PICT to Fax Cover Page program provides a simple way to generate custom cover sheets for use with either of the PostScript Fax printer drivers listed above. The program takes an uncompressed 1-bit TIFF or PICT image and exports a fax cover sheet that contains this image. The Adobe Acrobat document included offers simple step-by-step instructions for using the program.

For additional details on the Utility, please read the enclosed Adobe Technote, 5143.TIFFPICT.pdf.
