MacTCP Token Ring Extension 1.0

This file is a self-extracting archive of a Disk Copy 800K disk image.

To use, download from Apple Software Updates, double-click the downloaded file (this decompresses it), and use Disk Copy to create a disk.

Disk Copy can be found in the Utilities folder posted on Apple Software Updates.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:
This software is being made available to MacTCP licensed users only. You cannot bundle or redistribute the enclosed MacTCP Token Ring Extension software unless you have signed a MacTCP Commercial Distribution or Internal Use License. What is the MacTCP Token Ring Extension?
----------------------------------------
By using the MacTCP Token Ring Extension, MacTCP, and MacTCP-based applications, Macintosh computers can seamlessly interoperate with other computers via the TCP/IP protocol on Token Ring (IEEE 802.5) networks.

In order for the MacTCP Token Ring Extension software to function properly, the user must also install the latest version of the AppleTalk and Token Ring software that is in the Network Software Installer (version 1.2.1 or later).

System Requirements
-------------------
To use the MacTCP Token Ring Extension on Token Ring-compatible systems requires a Macintosh computer that supports an appropriate Token Ring interface device, such as the Apple Token Ring 4/16 NB Card, MacTCP software (version 1.1 or later), system software version 6.0.5 or later and at least 1MB of memory, or system software version 7.0 or later and at least 2MB of memory.

Note: The Token Ring interface device must be compatible with the MacTCP Token Ring Extension software. Some third-party Token Ring card manufacturers may provide their own extension software that is compatible with MacTCP.
