    Are the new Color StyleWriter 4100, 4500, and 6500 Energy Star Compliant?

DISCUSSION


    Printers must meet the following EPA guidelines to be considered Energy Star compliant:

    Printer Low Power State Max Low Power State
    Throughput Default Time Power Consumption

    1-7 ppm 14 Minutes 30 W
    8-14 ppm 30 Minutes 30 W
    >15 ppm/Color 60 Minutes 45 W

    The Color StyleWriter 4100, 4500, and 6500 all meet Energy Star guidelines (<30 watts).
    • The Color StyleWriter 4100 & 4500 each consume approximately 7 watts in a non-printing state and average less than 20 watts during printing.
    • The Color StyleWriter 6500 consumes approximately 4 watts in a non-printing state and averages less than 20 watts during printing.
