After installing the LaserWriter 8 driver that comes on the CD included with the 12/640 or 12/600 a user may experience -2804 errors. This sometimes happens on a Power Macintosh 7300 with the preinstalled system software, but could possibly affect other CPUs.

Have the user drag "printing lib" (located in the extensions folder) to the trash and re-install the printing software from the 12/640 or 12/600 CD.

If this does not work, have the user install LaserWriter 8 from their System Software CD, or download LaserWriter 8.4.3 from Apple's Software Update web site.
