I am unable to connect to me local ISP using my US Robotics Sporters 33.6 modem. The modem will dial out and attempt to connect but an error will occur of "No Carrier."

I have tried selecting both the US Robotics Universal and US Robotics ARA modem scripts but get the same error. What am I doing wrong?

US Robotics, now owned by 3Com, has a new version of their modem script available that will resolve this problem. The name of this new script is US Robotics High Speed and can be obtained from the following Web site:

http://consumer.3com.com/macintosh/filelibrary/index.html .

Once at this location, download the file named "usrara.hqx".

This file should be placed into the Modem Scripts folder inside the Extensions folder. Once in place you can select the new modem script via the Modem control panel.
