If it is necessary to share CD ROM discs from your server, you may avoid the problem by copying the contents of the CD to a large hard drive, or by continuing to use MacOS 8.0 on the server until a MacOS 8.1 fix is available. The version of MacOS which runs on the client does not affect this problem.
