    UMAX says to hook up hardware first, then install software, including the 6360/64xx/54xx Update. This did not work for me.

DISCUSSION

    What worked was:
    • Install the UMAX software (from CD-ROM)
    • Install the 6360/64xx/54xx Update
    • Restart
    • Shutdown
    • Then hook up hardware and start up
