Password fields have a different number of characters in the NetworkManager or NetInfoManager than the number of characters I typed when setting up the user, or what the user types to log on. Is this normal?
DISCUSSION Mac OS X Server encrypts all passwords using UNIX style standard one way encryption, meaning it cannot be decrypted. During this process, the number of characters may change. This is normal. |
