Update 1.0.1 |

1. The ATI Rage 128 software is updated again with Mac OS 8.6 and OpenGL 1.0, which should also be installed.
2. It is not necessary to install this update when using Mac OS X Server.
3. G3 Firmware Update 1.1 installs the same firmware as G3 Firmware Update 1.0.2. If you downloaded G3 Firmware Update 1.0.2 and updated your firmware successfully, then it is not necessary to download G3 Firmware Update 1.1.
4. If your Power Macintosh G3 (Blue and White) or Macintosh Server G3 came with a single channel Ultra2 low voltage differential (LVD) SCSI card, run this updater to install firmware on the card that will yield more stable system performance.
5. Important : Do not attempt to update the SCSI card's firmware while running the Mac OS X Server operating system.
To update the SCSI card firmware when the card is installed in a Macintosh Server G3 computer that runs Mac OS X Server:
- Start up the computer from a disc or other startup disk that uses Mac OS 8.5.1 or later.
- Double click the software installer icon to install the update.
- Restart the computer and return to Mac OS X Server.
6. FireWire Support may have been installed in the Extensions folder in the System Folder on your Macintosh. Third party products may also include this extension, so you may not need to install a FireWire update separately. Carefully read all third party documentation (for example, Read Me files) for the latest details. Be careful not to replace a newer version of FireWire Support that is already in your Extensions folder with an older version. If you are not sure of the versions, use the Get Info command in the Finder to compare them first.
7. Go to http://www.softraid.com/updates.html to obtain the SoftRAID 2.1.7 update.
