    I use the PowerBook SCSI Disk Mode control panel to change the SCSI ID of my PowerBook. However, when the PowerBook is placed in SCSI Disk Mode, it always defaults to ID 2.

DISCUSSION

    For PowerBook G3 Series (Bronze keyboard) owners using Mac OS 8.6, this can be resolved by downloading Mac OS ROM Update 1.0 from Apple Software Updates.

    Note: This issue has been resolved in Mac OS 9.
