    About AppleShare IP Registry 6.3.1:
    The AppleShare IP Registry looks in the Users & Groups Data File for the application to open in order to start the Web & File server. When a previous version of AppleShare IP is upgraded to AppleShare IP 6.3, the AppleShare IP Registry can no longer find the correct application to open, and thus the Web & File server cannot start up at system startup time. The AppleShare IP Registry 6.3.1 update fixes this issue by updating the entry in the Users & Groups Data File. Only users who have upgraded to AppleShare IP 6.3 from a previous version of AppleShare IP need this update.


    Requirements:
    • CPU: Any iMac, Power Macintosh, Macintosh Server, or Workgroup Server with a PowerPC G4, G3, 604e, 604, 603e 6500 series, or 601 microprocessor that has AppleShare IP 6.3 installed.
    • System Software: Mac OS 9
    • AppleShare IP: version 6.3


    Installing AppleShare IP Registry 6.3.1

    For AppleShare IP 6.3 customers :
      1. Drag the "AppleShare IP Registry" file from the extensions folder of the System Folder in which your AppleShare IP 6.3 server is installed, to the Trash.

      2. Drag the file "AppleShare IP Registry" from the AppleShare IP Registry 6.3.1 release package onto the closed System Folder in which your AppleShare IP 6.3 server is installed. Click OK when prompted to put the file in the Extensions folder.

      3. Restart your computer.
