    After playing an audio CD, the computer does not go to sleep automatically.

DISCUSSION

    Symptom
    After playing an audio CD, the computer does not go to sleep automatically, but you are able to put the computer to sleep manually.

    This issue affects these products with Mac OS 9.0, 9.0.2, or 9.0.3:
    • iBook
    • iMac (Slot loading)
    • PowerBook G3 Series (Bronze keyboard)
    • PowerBook (FireWire)
    • Power Mac G4

    Solution
    Use the Software Update control panel to download and install Mac OS 9 Update (9.0.4). You can also download this software from Apple Software Updates at http://www.apple.com/swupdates/ .
