This article discusses an issue with the Final Cut Pro DV Companion tutorial software, and QuickTime versions 4.1.1 and later.

DV Companion is an online help system for Final Cut Pro, which installs as a module for Apple's Help Center. When using DV Companion version 1.2 with QuickTime versions 4.1.1 and later, the QuickTime sprite movies used by DV Companion to illustrate various topics are disabled.

An update that resolves this issue is available at the DV Companion Web site. The update can be downloaded from the following site:

Note: AppleScript must be installed for the DV Companion update to function.
