DISCUSSION

    Symptom

    The System Preferences window shakes and deletes entries when you try to set up the "Automatically log in" option in the Login pane.

    Solution

    The user name or password is incorrect. The window shakes and the entries are deleted so you can re-enter them.
      1. Retype the user name and password.
      2. Click Set.
