This article describes an issue with Final Cut Pro 1.2.1 and Mac OS 9 with Virtual Memory enabled.

If you are using Mac OS 9 and Final Cut Pro 1.2.1 and you have Virtual Memory turned on, you may notice sluggish performance when performing common tasks such as basic editing.

If you intend to use Virtual Memory while using Final Cut Pro, install Mac OS 9 Update (9.0.4) or later.
