When outputting video to an NTSC monitor, the video is not full screen, is displaying distorted, or not displaying at all.

DISCUSSION

When capturing video, you must capture in one of the following resolutions to maintain an image that can be output reliably to an NTSC monitor. For NTSC, 640x480, 640x240, 320x240, 320x480.

If the DC30 control panel is set to Rectangular CCIR601, you will only be able to capture 704x480 regardless of Adobe settings.

The DC30 control panel should be set for:
    • TV Standard: NTSC
    • Best Connector: S-video/Composite (depending on connector)
    • Advanced Settings: Square
Make sure the Make/Output Options/Output Type pull down in Premiere is set to QuickTime Movie not QuickTime Composite.
