Click the Continue button. The Custom Install options appear:
Click the checkboxes for the components you wish to have installed.
Click the Select All button to choose all available software.
Once you have made your selections, click the Continue button.
Uninstall
To uninstall (remove) all QuickTime software from the computer, select "Uninstall" from the pull down menu in the Custom Install window:
Click the Uninstall button to remove all QuickTime software from the computer. After removing the QuickTime software,
you will be required to restart the computer.
What's Installed?
Tip:
You can find out the names and locations of files installed and deleted by the QuickTime Installer by viewing the QuickTime Installer Log File located in the QuickTime Folder.
The following files are installed on the hard disk when performing a QuickTime Authoring install:
Updating QuickTime 4
The QuickTime Updater program helps you maintain the latest QuickTime software components on your computer. The
updater automatically checks the version of components installed and will automatically download and update if newer
software is available.
You must have an active connection to the Internet in order to use the QuickTime Updater.
To begin, open the QuickTime Updater application located inside the QuickTime folder:
The QuickTime Updater window appears:
To begin the update, click the Continue button. If software updates are available a message appears:
If you want to select the specific QuickTime software components to update, click the Custom button. The Custom options
appear:
Select the checkbox for the components you wish to update. Components which have updates available will be indicated as 'Yes' in the Update Available column.
When you have selected the components to update, click the Update Now button:
After installing updated components, you may need to restart your computer.
