I need to backup information from an Apple MessagePad 110 and restore the information on an Apple MessagePad 2000 device. However, I have found that the Newton Connection Utilities 1.0 bundled with the Apple MessagePad 2000 does not recognize my old backup. How can I make this work?

Although the format used with the original Newton Backup Utility 1.0 is compatible with the Newton Connection Utilities 1.0 bundled with the Apple MessagePad 2x00, users of Newton Connection Kit 2.0 bundled with the Apple MessagePad 110 may find that the backup cannot be read by Newton Connection Utilities 1.0.

However, Newton Connection Utilities 1.0 does allow a backup from an older Newton device. On connection, Newton Connection Utilities will automatically backup information to the Newton Connection Utilities folder. This backup file can be used to restore information to the Apple MessagePad 2x00 device.
